Installing JCS in an Azure environment

Azure Virtual Desktop

JCS can be installed in an Azure Virtual Desktop environment. We recommend the JCS databases are stored directly on a local drive attached to the session host where users run JCS.

If you have multiple session hosts we recommend you store the JCS databases on one of them, and share the dataset folder to the other session hosts over SMB. Users connecting to the session host with the data stored on it will have the best performance. Users connecting to the session hosts that have the data shared to them get worse performance, especially when producing big reports. We suggest that you assign users that are doing a lot of reporting to the host with the data stored locally.

Azure Files

We do not support storing your JCS databases in Azure Files. Doing so may result in very poor performance and result in data corruption.
